<p>Florida State Senator Joe Gruters (R) introduced and then quickly withdrew <a href="https://www.flsenate.gov/Session/Bill/2025/334">SB 334</a>, a bill that would have permitted <a href="https://floridastatecannabis.org/medical">medical marijuana</a> patients to grow up to two cannabis plants at home while also imposing restrictions on <a href="https://floridastatecannabis.org/hemp">hemp</a>-derived cannabinoids. Gruters has stated that he will reintroduce a revised version of the bill focusing solely on home cultivation, removing the hemp-related provisions.</p>
